- To apply to vote by post – 5pm on Tuesday 21st April 2026
- To apply to change your proxy vote if you already have one – 5pm on Tuesday 21st April 2026
- To apply to vote by proxy – 5pm on Tuesday 28th April 2026

+—Every citizen in Scotland who is registered and over 16 regardless of their nationality is eligible to vote.

If I am not registered how do I get added?
+—You can register online at anytime by going to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. The deadline for applying to register to vote for this upcoming election is Monday 20th April 2026.
You can also register using a paper application if you are unable to go online.
You may have also received an invitation to register, which you can use to register to vote as well.
