IT SUPPORT OFFICER

Salary – £33,900.05 – £37,159.83 per annum

Applications are invited for this full-time permanent post, based at the Board’s headquarters in Moray House, 16-18 Bank Street, Inverness.

The Highland and Western Isles Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995. We provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both Highland and Western Isles areas in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists, and Registers of Electors.

You will assist with delivering a high quality, efficient and effective IT provision for the organisation, including elements carried out in house and those carried out by external suppliers. You will work under the direction of the senior management team and IT Manager to ensure that project deliverables are met within agreed timetables. You will be educated to degree level in a numerate/business/technology related subject; or relevant industry specific qualification or have extensive proven experience. You will be a team player, with the ability to think laterally, analytically and challenge the status quo. You should have a good understanding of cyber security principles and implications for the use of technology in a complex IT environment.

You will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure check.
