Voter ID

From October 2023, for UK Parliamentary Elections and currently for any by-elections and Recall Petitions, you will be required to have Photo ID to be able to cast your vote at these types of elections.

Electoral Registration

Applications to register to vote and change registration details can be made at any time during the year. Changes notified throughout the year will become effective from the next date in the registration timetable (see table of dates in “Getting Added to the Register” section – link below) Should an election be announced, electors would have a facility to register to vote provided that they applied online or returned a fully completed form at least twelve (12) working days before polling day.

Anyone who has moved address or changed their name should check whether they are registered or not. The Register of Electors can be checked at our office or you can contact our office with details of who should be registered. To register to vote please click here.
