The Scottish Government have opened a new window for the provision of evidence in relation to the financial year 2023/24. This window, by law, will close for the final time on 6 December 2025.
The window allows for new evidence to be submitted, or for a request to be made for existing evidence to be reconsidered.

Notice is hereby given, under section 195 (public notices) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 Regulation 9, that copies of the unaudited accounts of DUNBARTONSHIRE AND ARGYLL & BUTE VALUATION JOINT BOARD for the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, will be available for public inspection on the VJBs website from 28/06/2025.

Every year we conduct an annual canvass of all properties with Argyll & Bute, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire Council areas. We will contact you, and depending on your particular circumstances, you may require to respond and update your registration status. This will take place during the period from 14 July to 30 November 2025.

The rules in relation to Postal Votes for UK Parliament Elections has changed. There is now a requirement to re-apply for your postal vote every three years.
For many of those with existing postal voting arrangements, these will expire on 31 January 2026.
The Electoral Registration Officer has begun writing to those affected. If you have received an email or a letter, please follow the instructions to ensure you are able to continue voting by post at future UK Elections.

Work on the annual audit of Self Catering properties for the financial year 2023/24 is now almost complete.
It is now too late to provide supporting evidence for 2023/24. If you have received a deletion notice for a property being removed from the Valuation Roll, it will soon be placed in the Council Tax Valuation List.
If you would like to provide a return for 2024/25 - you can do so at saa.gov.uk/self-catering-form/

Due to the Red weather warning issued by the MET office which covers our office locations, and the subsequent advice from Police Scotland that the public should not travel in, or in to the affected area, the Joint Board's properties will be closed to staff and the public on 24th January 2025. Our services continue to be delivered and you can contact us by telephone or email as normal.
